Build your confidence
a stitch at the time

If you are interested in attending one of our upcoming sewing classes, you can book via the main classes’ calendar page. You will find the descriptions of our workshops below. If you are a group of two or three people, please do get in touch with us and we can easily schedule a special workshop just for you.

While all our Yonder tutors are patient & project-focused our sewing tutors are also local fashion designers. With this expertise they can help build your sewing confidence step-by-step as you create pieces that are uniquely yours. We keep our classes small on purpose. Students have more one-on-one time with tutors and are supported to learn the trickier techniques in a way that suits their learning style. Yonder’s sewing classes are practical and run by passionate people so you can make clothes you are proud of!

We have a selection of domestic sewing machines, one plain industrial sewing machine and a couple of overlockers. However, if possible, bringing your own sewing machine would be preferable. Learning the ins and outs of your own machine is an important part of establishing a sustainable sewing practice from home.

We also have a heavy-duty sewing machine and a leather patcher capable of impeccable precision available for use. For convenience, we offer a large selection of threads and zips for sale if you are caught short while in class and need supplies. However, we recommend purchasing materials such a fabrics, threads, zips, and patterns from your local fabric stores.
